ShutterCount is a sophisticated application designed for photographers seeking to accurately determine the shutter count of their Canon EOS, Nikon, or Pentax digital cameras. The shutter count provides essential insights into a camera's usage history, which can be critical when assessing the value and condition of new or pre-owned equipment.

One of ShutterCount's standout features is its ability to read shutter counts directly via USB or Wi-Fi connections for Canon cameras, while Nikon and Pentax models are processed through image files. This functionality allows users to verify the authenticity of a newly acquired camera or evaluate the wear on a second-hand model without the need to visit a service center.

Certified Camera Models:
The application supports a vast array of Canon models via USB connection (a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter or USB-C equipped iPad required) with Wi-Fi capabilities needing to be disabled on the camera. A detailed list of compatible models is provided on the official website.

For Wi-Fi/Ethernet connections, compatibility exists for select Canon cameras with the "EOS Utility" function enabled. Nikon and Pentax users can also utilize ShutterCount by uploading image files from their respective camera models.
